My personality is naturally go, go go. I am a bit of a perfectionist and my own worst critic. After completing an MA Business Management at the University of Glasgow I moved to Aberdeen to be with my now husband and I starting working in recruitment. We were lucky enough to get transferred to Melbourne with both of our jobs in 2008 and I continued to work in recruitment. This fast paced industry alongside the pressures that I put on myself quickly took its toll on my health. I met a wonderful Naturopath in Melbourne who started to help me put the puzzle pieces together and I became aware that my lifestyle of work hard, play hard and exercise hard was impacting my health. My eyes were open that preventative health was so important. I learnt that I needed to slow down and live more mindfully.
This was the beginning of my journey and in 2011 we moved back to the UK so that I could study Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. After I graduated we moved back to Aberdeen were I have practised as a Registered Nutritional Therapist at Nuffield Health as well as growing our family.
Having two young daughters and working with my clients over the last five years has made me appreciate how important nutrition and lifestyle medicine is for our emotional health. In 2019 I started a Counselling Skills course to better support my clients with their emotional health.
I am passionate about supporting my clients who are working towards their health goals. We are all individuals and there is not one size fits all when it comes to nutrition. I aim to provide direction and support to my clients in a simple, achievable way.
