Living with gut symptoms

Are you feeling lost or despair with your gut symptoms? Do you feel like they are taking over your life and something that you think about constantly?
When we are living with diarrhoea, loose stool, urgency to go, constipation, bloating, indigestion, heart burn, abdominal pain or excess/smelly flatulence it can feel like it is all we think about or talk about with family members or close friends.
If you’re going on a car journey have you started to worry about it days before or have you planned the route so you know where the toilet is?
Have you started to view foods as good and bad for you? Do you have the same meals regularly as you know they will be safe to eat (mean that you won’t be running to the toilet)?
Have you been to the GP and/or consultant, tests have been done and you’ve been given the all clear. Maybe been told you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), maybe been given a prescription for Omeprazole or been given a sheet with details of the Low FODMAP diet?
